I should really update news!
Having instagram and facebook really stretches me thin on reporting side of things.
I’ll try to update things here as well.
Current news:
I’m still working on A Dash of Belladonna 2!
More information is likely to come out when I’m at 3rd reading. Right now I’m on draft 1… about 80% done.
The temptation is there to rip out the whole plot thread when I realize it’s either: Cliche, doesn’t make sense… Example: I had Lottie go into a bad situation… all by herself? There’s no way a 15 year old kid would walk in there by herself without any preparation nor adults to help her.
Sure, I can drop her into that situation… but I’m against characters who just ‘happens’ upon danger. Once or twice is fine… but not all the time.
I’m doing lots of book covers!
I take little longer than usual due to making sure it’s close to the author’s ideals… but wow that takes time! (IT TOOK ME 4 HOURS TO PUT TATTOOS ON THE MODEL)
I don’t put them up unless the book is out, so there’s a lot of them in the back.
Commissions:
I haven’t been actively advertising but I made a rule of not turning people away unless I’m just flat booked. So I’m just finishing some commissions! As cheesy as it is, it makes me so happy when I see families wanting something to celebrate their family. And weirder the better!
I hate covid.
I’m still playing catch ups from lockdown that ended in early December!!! Ahhhhhh!! Lockdown = my kid can’t go to daycare = I cannot draw/write. So playing catch ups… I just want a week where I don’t have any work…. I’m thinking once I’m done with my current commissions and book covers, I’m going to just sleep.

Don’t be like me. Take advice from a regretful, upset person. Floss those teeth. Get your teeth checked at least once a year. Don’t wait like me and then suffer the consequences. Luckily my dentist didn’t laugh and say “I told you so” so that was nice I guess. But yes. I’m now booked for multiple expensive as hell operations on my teeth.
